Home › Forums › Help/Technical Questions › Micro Pog – is it supposed to be making this noise?
It hisses and pops when idle, as I’ve recorded here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PRO4Pf3UAis
I’ve reordered the pedals, I’ve ran the pog by itself, I’ve switched between using the supplied 9v power and the 9v dunlop power supply, and ran it through different cables and guitars.
Conclusion: Pretty sure the micro pog is making all those sounds.
Other than that, the dry signal and octaves work. I just wonder if the clicks and splurts are normal.
Otherwise, do I need to haul this back to GC for an exchange (recently purchased) or send it off for repair?
No it isn’t supposed to be making that noise, use it in isolation just to be sure and exchange it if you can… if you can’t return it to the shop for whatever reason contact: Chip “Scooter” Dugan: info@sovtek.com
So, who is this mystery repair man, Chip, with a sovtek email address? Is he part of the EHX engineering department? An ex-employee? Just a genius electronics guy?…

He’s the New Sensor ‘customer services’ guy (New Sensor is EHX’s Parent company)
Ahhh, thsnks!
Thanks for the response! It’s been really tame when I gave it another run yesterday, but at least I have confirmation that it’s not supposed to fart up like that.
