    Hi there,

I’m using a Big Muff US with an old synthsizer which has not fuzz effect and midi keyboard.
The problem is that when I turn the pedal on, the volume decrease a lot and I can barely hear it.

Now, i think that this is due to the fact that I use PA-system and a soundboard instead of an amp, am I right ? I just wanted to be sure, and if so, which kind of amp should I use ?

    Many thanks

A PA system is also just an amp, so it should work. You might try running a guitar into it to see if the pedal is at fault or the synth. Likewise, try running the synth into it through a different amp.

    Thanks for the fast answer.
Another fact : It does exactly the same when I just use headphones plugged into the soundboard (without speakers)

The Pedal is brand new I just tested it before I bought it, and now I remember that I tested it on a guitar amp !

Oh and might be wrong, I actually use monitoring speakers, M-audio bx5a.

Could it be anything related to the input impedance of the BMP vs. the output inpedance of your keyboard/synth?

mismateched impedances might have an effect on the resulting volume … (I guess????)

Would pay to test it with a gutiar and other instruments (in the same amp you are currently using).
