I’m very interested in the Freeze pedal, mostly because of its sustain capabilities. Before buying it, I would like to know if you can get with the Freeze (in Latch mode) the same effect of real infinite sustain as you can get with the Fernandes sustainer. Being more a music composer than a guitar player, I wish to explore a musical field in which electric guitar would be used with the same phrasing than a violin.
It’s a bit different than that.
The idea of the freeze is that you can play a chord or a note, and then play over that. Of course if you put a swell pedal in front of it, you could kind of do that.
Thanks for your quick answer and the idea it gave me. I believe now that the Freeze device would be very interesting to use with a baritone guitar so as to produce simultaneously a drone and a superimposed single-note or chord series related in different ways to the drone. I will soon buy a Freeze and experiment these possibilities of composition.
