I’ve got a Little Big Muff pedal that appears to be acting up with my new Vox V847 Wah Pedal. Just so you know, the Vox 847 is the older American made version that has been modded for true bypass (I know this shouldn’t have any affect on the pedals, but I figured it might help). The LBM sounds fine without the wah, but when I add the two together I get a weird cancellation when the wah is at about half way. For some reason it doesn’t sound like the wah is as smooth, if that makes any sense. Once I hit that half way point the frequency jumps and I get this weird faint wah sound. When I disengage the distortion, it goes away and is smooth again. In my effects chain, I have the Wah first and then the LBM distortion. Both pedals work great alone, they just aren’t working good together. I’ve already reversed the order and that got rid of the cancellation issue, however I wasn’t a fan of the sound. Any tips as to resolve this issue by keeping the wah first and distortion last. Btw I removed the other pedals out of the chain to troubleshoot, so they shouldn’t have any affect. Your response will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Daniel
A lot of times fuzzes and wahs don’t like to play together. I’ve heard this is more the case with a Fuzz Face though, so maybe there is some other problem.
Anyways, you could try something like this: http://www.foxroxelectronics.com/Wah retrofit 2.html
