hey guys, about 2 years ago my moms friend in memphis tenessee just gave me this because her husband had died and she didnt know what to do with it. well today my uncle and i were talkin and he tells me its worth $225-$475 according to his vintage amp book.
well of course i want to sell it now! i played it once at her house and once in my house over the past 2 years. i have no need for it.
it hums pretty loud and the tremolo doesnt work but im guessing both problems would be fixed by just replacing the tubes. also the fuse cap isnt on. does that matter?
well im askin for help. ive never sold anything on ebay before. can you guys help me out.
well do i change the tubes?
thanks guys
oh and i also found this, i thought it was awesome

August 2, 2010 at 8:15 pm #110615julianModeratorDon’t sell it, take it to a tech and have it fixed up, and then you’ll have your self a really nice tube combo.
August 2, 2010 at 9:39 pm #110617friedjesseradioMembermy uncle, the one who told me the price, said i should replace the filter caps and he also said i should keep it but truthfully i want somethin new. i dont really care about vintage stuff. i would rather have the money to buy something else

August 3, 2010 at 6:15 am #110630DarkAxelParticipantyeah, i think guys are right… you got your hands on something really special and rare… find a good tech, let him repair it and play it again… then, if you’D like to sell it, we can’t hold you back, but i think that’s not a good idea

i’m looking for a ga-5t myself (but i want the white panel one with separate bass and treble controls)
shame they’re all in the USA thoughAugust 3, 2010 at 4:26 pm #110644fantomenosMemberMan, I love it when someone gets on a forum of any kind and says “There’s one thing I want to do, can you guys help me?” and the whole internet responds by saying “Don’t do the thing you want to do!”
It’s just such an internetty thing, that combination of scorn and unhelpfulness.
That said, don’t sell that amp fjr, are you crazy?!
August 3, 2010 at 8:19 pm #110650friedjesseradioMemberi dont have the money to fix it up. i dont have the need to have it. maybe i will keep the titano. when we play, my brother plays the drums loud so i have to be loud enough to keep up with him
