I have a Micro POG that is being powered by a Voodoo Labs PP2+. Several months back I had an issue where when the pedal was engaged it emitted a very loud and unmusical noise, kind of an infinite loop digital feedback thing. I assumed that it was a cabling issue so I did some trouble shooting and seemed to find that it was a cable that was shorting and so the Micro POG was doing it’s magic on the sound of a cable shorting.
Yesterday while using the pedal the same issue kicked back in. I double and triple checked all the cables and found no short so now I’m stumped. One thing I should add, is that when the sound happens the power light to the pedal goes off and then on as if it’s not getting power.
Is this a known issue that happens because I’m using one of the normal power outputs of the PP2+ and not one of the higher voltage outputs? I’ve noticed on the forum that you suggest using the higher voltage, which I will switch to but I want to make sure that the problem is based on that as opposed to something else. You can imagine that in the middle of a song in front of several thousand people that digital feedback is not a pleasant experience
Your help is greatly appreciated.
I would plug it into one of the high current outputs. The normal outputs are only capable of 100mA and the Micro Pog calls for a 200mA adapter.
Thanks for your quick answer. I’ll make that change.
That means outlets 5 or 6…correct?
Yes
