so I recently got a one spot power supply to power my crybaby and on the packaging it said it could be used to like power a lot of pedals with a daisy chain. but i remember reading somewhere that ehx pedals “dont like to be daisy chained” so i was wondering if it would be able to power my ehx pedals.
oh and the only ehx i need it to power is my big muff, small clone, and lpb-1. the other pedals on my board right now are my crybaby, ds-1, and smmh (which i’m just gonna keep using the power supply that came with it.) so basically is it gonna be able to power my crybaby, ds-1, big muff, small clone, and lpb-1?
its kinda hard to explain haha.
June 24, 2010 at 2:55 pm #109775Mr.GrimMemberi have many pedals and use 3 1spot chains for most of them, i don’t see any problems for you if you were to use the 1spot to power that chain at all.
the only issue that i have herd of was with the SMMH, sum people get undesired results when combining it on a chain with other pedals, but personally i never had an issue, so if you were to decide and try it, it wont hurt, you will just have to see if it works out or not.

June 24, 2010 at 4:03 pm #109778julianModeratorAny 9v analog EH pedal should be fine with a chain, except the nano clone and the muff od.
June 24, 2010 at 4:29 pm #109780Mr.GrimMembernano clone is another pedal i have herd sum people had issues with, but again i never had an issue, so again i guess its another “try it out and see” situation.
and i cant comment on the “Muff” od, because i don’t currently have one or tried it in a chain, but if its anything like the Double Muff, Ive used that in a chain with no issues.
but if you were referring to his “Big Muff”, i don’t have one right now, but i do use a Little Big Muff Pi with the chain with no issues.
June 24, 2010 at 5:03 pm #109782The Ghost of Sim TutMemberMy 2 cents: On a single one spot I have a Boss tuner, Boss DD5 delay, two Fuzzhugger fuzzes, Ring Thing, and SMMH. Never a problem. Just to be safe, I started putting the two fuzzes (both analog) on a separate one spot just to head-off any potential interference. But I never actually had a problem.
EDIT: I forgot that when I ran a Sovtek Muff on the same line with a DanO Fab Tone, I did have a very obvious conflict. But the Sovtek muff only had a battery so I had to use a battery adapter and I had even more pedals on the chain at the time. FYI.
June 24, 2010 at 6:26 pm #109785BlueSteelParticipantok cool, so i can still run my SMMH with the power supply that it came with and everything else with the one spot right? or does everything need to be daisy chained?
June 24, 2010 at 6:34 pm #109786The Ghost of Sim TutMemberWell it doesn’t need to be daisy chained, but why not? Put the SMMH on there too. Oh wait you may only have a five-pedal connector. Well either way you should be fine.
October 9, 2010 at 9:53 pm #111884BlueSteelParticipantok, so i decided to take the lpb-1 off my board for now. so um, is it alright if i put the SMMH on the daisy chain with my crybaby, ds-1, big buff, and small clone? cause all of the others are analog and the SMMH is digital, so will that will mess with anything?
October 10, 2010 at 2:24 am #111887Mr.GrimMemberi think its a trial and error kinda thing, i hear from a lot of people that it dont work correctly or well on a daisy chain with analog effects, but i have currently 12 pedals on my board, and 9 of them are on a 1spot chain, and yes one is my SMMH, and i change my board around like once a month, so its always different. but the SMMH is always there and its always on a chain.
so give it a try, it definitely wont hurt it at all, it just may not work as well or make noise, if not then your all set!
October 10, 2010 at 2:26 am #111888Mr.GrimMemberoh and to update my posts from above, i now have a XO little big muff, and use it on a chain with no issues as well!

October 10, 2010 at 11:50 pm #111896BlueSteelParticipantthanks for the responses! and i tried it, but i get some noise when i turn it on
