I was thinking about putting a compressor before my POG and have been thinking it might as well be an EHX compressor. I’ve seen there is an old non-tube version of the black finger, but how is it? Has anyone used one before?
It’s a bit noisy and it requires 2 batteries.
I find my vintage Black Finger to be less useful as a compressor than as a sustainer for monophonic leads and melody lines. As EHman said, it is noisy, especially with chord work.
I like placing in front of a Big Muff Pi, or a Frequency Analyzer.
Thanks. I think I’ll pass then.
