Here is a Video i made with a modded Hog .

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oy91hyYcVEs&feature=player_embedded

It has 11 CV Inputs now ( done by http://www.kristkeitz.net), All Upper Faders , Filter, Envelope and Expression

It would have been much easier ( and cheaper) to do the pitchshifting with plugins but

the HOG has the best “tracking” i found so far . I love it

Please do not release a midi-accessible version ….

Probably the sickest HOG demo I’ve seen yet, can you share pics of the mods?

Hi Bernd! I watched the other videos you posted too on youtube, they are amazing. I love indian (classic) music and the music i saw there was amazing. Could you tell me what instrument is the one that sounds like a sitar and looks like a wooden box? Or was it some other instrument making the drone sound?

    HI

happy to hear that you like it
    There is more on

    http://www.vimeo.com/user367470

THe wooden box is a indian Harmonium (Pumporgan)

There was no Sitar involved but ( behind the singer ) a digital tanpura

Are you saying you couldn’t currently have fun with the HOG and an Arduino?

I sent MIDI pitch bend notes from Ableton to my HOG and could get weird sample/hold sounds and pattern tremolo sounds…

I wanted to look into programming an Arduino to do that so I could use a smaller external controller/sequencer or something to send the commands to the HOG. Thats what the MIDI port is for right?

Oh no, I’ve already done awesome things with a HOG and an Arduino. I made a 16 step sequencer that I gave to someone as an Xmas present. I need to get some more parts so that I can make one for myself.

You don’t actually have to use the MIDI port to do that though, with a digital potentiometer IC or an optoisolater you can plug it into the expression port.

But with HOG midi control AFAIK you can only really use pitch wheel commands to work like an expression pedal.

Imagine though if every variable on the HOG had its own CC#. That would bring about infinite new possibilities.

Oh, I see! Would you be willing to share your arduino build/programming info? I’m a complete and utter noob to it so it would help alot. I build pedals but never done the arduino thing. Thanks
