I’d hop, skip and jump on over to my local music shop if they re-issued this beast!
Correct me if I’m wrong, but it’s a Big Muff Pi with a Soul Preacher attached for some brutal compressed fuzz. I’d love to see it in the new casing like the current Memory Man and Q Tron sized pedals.
that would be amazing! i’ve always wanted to play one of those!
it wasn’t really compressed fuzz, the compressor was going in parallel with the fuzz so you could blend the clean signal into it or a different distortion sound that you have running in front
i used to have one and it was super fun
also, the big muff was the IC circuit
it seems a lot more beneficial for a bass guitarist to blend the clean signal in (in fact the guy i sold mine too was a bassist)
I like this idea, the pedal sounds great, so I guess a lot of Big Muff fan’s would buy one.
I have the later version with the Series/Parallel switch, which allows you to put the compressor in front of the fuzz for super-long sustain. I like it much, much, much better than running it in parallel.
I can’t say that it’s one of my favorite EHX vintage pedals. It’s cool, but not cooler than the vintage PolyPhase, the Muff Fuzz Crying Tone, or a vintage Electric Mistress.

Sounds sweet!
That’s a great idea, I would buy one in a heartbeat. I like the idea of having a compressor in the same pedal, I prefer compressors before fuzz or any other distortion pedal. Better sustain.
If it would be some sort of reissue of the version with the Series/Parallel switch it would be great, maybe with a bass boost and a tone wicker version to make it extra Deluxe, but I think commercialy for EHX that wouldn’t be a good idea.. But it would be a very diverse big muff if they would do it like that!
