I recently purchased a second hand POG described as “as new” by the seller.
After having it delivered to me I immediately noticed that, despite the shining new look, there was a rattling noise coming from it. I checked and found that the LPF Mode Slide Switch was apparently broken. It seems loose and I suspect it’s not connected to the circuit selector inside, but I don’t want to risk opening the stompbox.
I know that the seller will probably argue that the pedal was damaged in transit, so I’d like to check here first and hear from people who have a POG.
I have two distinct queries:
1- How likely it is for a LPF Mode Slide Switch to get damaged in transit? According to your experience is the switch frail or robust?
2- How simple/difficult it is for me to have the problem fixed?
I appreciate any help on solving this matter.
The switches are definitely weak points. I’ve had to fix a lot of them over the years. That said, if all the parts are still there (they should be if the pedal was sealed up) it’s easy to put it back together again.
I just purchased an original POG and have the same issue. The LPF switch has come apart needs to be replaced or reassembled. Any guidance on how to reassemble it?
I would return it. If the shipping package is fine it was not shipping. Regardless its not your responsibility.
Please return it. You did not buy a broken unit!
