OK-
Here’s one anyone with a Black Finger pedal can probably help me figure out.
I recently got TWO EH Black Fingers, with hopes of using them in a stereo configuration. However, when I finally powered them up, it appears one has the internal lamp (between the two tubes inside) always lit, and the other is NOT lit.Ive tried both pedals on different settings, and they both seem to work OK, but maybe im missing something.
So, which one of these is the “bad” pedal? Im guessing its the one with the lamp always ‘on’ but maybe EH put that there for decoration purposes so the with the lamp ‘out’ is the bad one. i.e. , Im not sure if this is the actual lamp that does the compression or not.
The lamp im speaking of can be seen between the two tubes through the top of the unit.
Please someone let me know what your Black Finger looks like. Thanks
Richard

The lamp mode does in fact refer to a light source, which is explained in the leaflet that comes with the pedal. You can download the PDF of this here on this site.
So a lamp, being a softer dimmer light and Led being a sharper brighter light are likened to the two types of compression used. Lamp=slower attack
Led= faster attackHope that helps

Is it possible EH made 2 versions of the BF? (one lit, one not)
So, does anyone know if this lamp is replaceable (ie whats the voltage?)

I´d like replace it for a better impression, so I don´t have warranty since one year ago and I´m from Mexico; I can replace and solder for myself; I need know what new lamp buy (Values and details)
Thank you!
Note; I think maybe is this

So, what kind of lamp is the original?
I thought a neon lamp could function in similar way.

I found a similar lamp in autozone; it´s like a instrument board lamp.
12V cc and o.1 amp
All it´s ok!
