Home › Forums › Help/Technical Questions › Vintage Memory Man – Delay knob has no effect
Hi, I just bought an old 3 knob memory man with a problem. The delay speed doesn’t change when the pot is turned. I tested the pot itself, changed all of the electrolytics, replaced the 4047 chip and the opamp that is under the delay pot (both are in sockets), and touched up all of the solder joints. I also can’t find a schematic for an older memory man like this. Any Ideas?
I would check the pads on the delay pot for continuity to anbything else connected to them. Sometimes the pads break free of the trace and you can’t tell just by looking.
