My new Holy Grail reverb pedal arrived yesterday…So far so good..There is a lot of tone helper in that box…I would say the name of the pedal is correct…In all i can’t see were there could be a better reverb unit out there…IMHO at higher settings it goes way past what reverb is and into delay or Chorus sounds…At mid or lower setting it gives a very lush reverb tone…My favorite setting is slightly past noon on the hall setting to me this gives me the most desirable reverb affect using my Strat..With my 335 it is a little farther past the setting for my Strat but not much..
I do prefer the spring reverb of my Fender amp over the spring reverb on this unit to a point on more subtle settings..But this can be expected as i can’t see where this small unit could produce a truer spring tone then the actual thing it is trying to reproduce…
The hall setting is just tremendous ..I find that the flereb setting works as a great entry effect into songs..This is an impressive pedal for about half the price of many higher dollar units that can’t do anything better than this pedal..Just like my Soul Preacher and Russian muff i ccan see where this will be a mainstay of my pedal board..January 7, 2010 at 8:36 pm #106180K.E.B.MemberHi Invader,
Did you purchase the pedal specifically for the hall reverb setting? Kinda curious since you already have the spring unit on your Fender amp. Or maybe you need it for another reverbless (is that a word) amp??-Kirk

I agree with your post on this unit. I might even go as far as to say I like it better than the Cathedral for its simplicity. Truly a plug and play pedal that is also extremely versatile.January 7, 2010 at 11:56 pm #106186InvaderCCMemberQuote:Hi Invader,

No i bought the unit for use with my Marshall JCM 800 50 watt combo that lets say the reverb on it is less than desirable…But even so i like the hall reverb better than the spring reverb on my Fender ..But the spring reverb on my Fender is better than the spring reverb on the pedal..But the pedal is better overall..I got myself confused reading that so i hope you can follow what i’m trying to saying…

Hello,
I was OK until you said ” I got myself confused reading that so i hope you can follow what i’m trying to saying…”, THEN I realized I was completely lost……………..

When i use mine with OD and Delay i can almost get a great full sound just with an orchestra. I reccomend it to everyone who askes me about the best reverb pedal
