Anyone know where I can get NOS, old, or repro knobs for a triangle Big Muff? I’m missing one of the ones on the right, but I’d like a set of either.
Anyone know if the knobs on the triangle in the middle are original?
Thanks
January 6, 2010 at 2:25 am #106113KitraeMemberI have never seen the ones in the middle. I think those are replacements. The silver knobs in the top right photo don’t look original either. The knobs in the bottom right photo I believe are original as I have seen several V1 Muffs with them, and obviously the black knobs are original Daka-Ware.
I have searched and searched, but I have found nothing like these available from any suppliers. Occasionally there is a guy who sells knobs similar to the V1 silver knobs on ebay. They are very close in looks to the original knobs.
Davies Moulding makes several that fit, but none that look like any of the original V1 knobs.

I got a few regular muff knobs from Davies last year — the black dakaware ones w/ the pointer. Minimum order for a batch is 200 though, so it’s a bit excessive. I ended up buying a dozen at a markup from a guy in England (who presumably bought a few hundred and is selling them on). Thanks

That’s where I get my V3 replacement knobs (#1470). They have a model 1510 that looks similar to the black V1 knobs, but theu are only about half the size.
The knobs on your right Muff look similar to these.

I recently got these — they look black from a distance, brown on coser inspection and under strong light you can see they’re actually a kinda 70s faux marble deal. They’re cool.

Any help would be awsomeJuly 3, 2010 at 5:16 am #109947KitraeMemberNo one is currently making those Sovtek style knobs. If you ever find any, be sure and let us know. There are a lot of us that need them.

July 3, 2010 at 2:27 pm #109951spaceshotMemberdevonjulip those are swank knobs! I’m always on the lookout for killer knobs and pretty much never cross paths with any suitors for younger generation big muffs or sovtek.
October 3, 2010 at 8:12 pm #111792ArctikParticipantI’ve found a little batch of this one and i sell some on ebay !!
October 28, 2010 at 3:49 am #112272slyibMemberI have the same black ones as on that Big Muff Pi on the left. They came with my Mike Matthews Freedom Amp. I’d take the knobs off the amp and sell ’em for $xx for the set.
Update 11/8/2010: No love for the knobs. Offer removed. Keeping them on the amp to keep it stock.
