    Hi everyone. I’m new here. I bought a nano small stone. I like it, but I prefer the regular big box small stone and have some questions:-
    1) Is the regular big box small stone being discontinued, since I couldn’t find any of them in US online stores?
    2) The nano SS has SMDs. Are these SMDs 100% digital? Does this mean the nano has no analog property like the big box?
    3) Are there no OTA chips on the PCB of the nano which were used in the big box?
    4) The nano is nice but the color switch down is more subtle/less powerful compared to the big box? Is this true?

    SMDs are NOT digital. The pedal is still analogue. I don’t know about the chips, but i am quite sure it still has them.

    P.S. And yes, the big box version has been discontinued.

    1) To my knowledge, they’re discontinued.
    2) It’s a common misconceptions that SMDs are digital. Yes, some are, but most are not. They’re simply tiny versions of their analog counterparts. In the case of the Nano Small Stone, it’s still an all-analog circuit – it simply uses SMDs to save space.
    3) I don’t know, actually. Open it up and compare. ;)
    4) I disagree… I thought the Nano Small Stone was louder overall. My experience with the original is that it had a “volume drop” because of the way it sweeped. At least to my ears, the Nano has a gain boost to compensate for that “drop.” Other than that, they sounded the same to me when I had both. I’m sure others might disagree.
