    Hello EHX forum (first post),

I’m new to the world of Big Muff’s, but have owned a small stone for about 10 years.

Anyway, I would like to hear everyone’s settings on the new Big Muff w/Tone Wicker. I play in a hard rock band and was just curious what setting the rest of the world is using. Whether it’s hard rock or punk or folk (you never know), I don’t care, I’m just curious to see what sounds everyone comes up with. I’m still trying to find “My Sound” with it,

Anyway, ever since buying the BMW/TW I’m obsessed! Thanks EHX!

I play a Hagstrom Swede (love it) to a Mesa Boogie DC-10 (also really love). I generally run my Muff thru a pretty beefy clean setting.

Anyway look forward to your response!

    Cheers!

put some od on your amp, and use it with the muff, with no tone (using the tone of the amp) with pretty much sustain, and if you can, also crank the volume. that’s the way I use mine (a russian bmp with tone at 12, but will mod it to bypass it)

    68 Bassman? I’m Jealous!

It’s amazing how the tone off switch opens up a whole new universe of options. Man I love this pedal.

Thanks for the ideas, keep em coming! :metal:

I tried this last night too, adding a little OD. I had it set so the BM was acting basically as a boost. The gain on my amp is very good. Using this to color it? Very nice.

    Thanks!

No, no, using the amp to boost the muff, and the muff as the main fuzz, it will give you something good to riff. If you like using your muff to boost, then go ahead, but I consider that it has too much gain to use it as a low gain booster…

yh its an awesome pedal, fantastic, i have loved mine since getting it about 6months ago

i have various settings, but the volume stays between 12-3 depending what im using it for
    the tone between 10-3
    the tone switch always on
the wicker switch on if im using my gibson, off if using the telecaster
    gain between 2-full

im using it with marshall avt150H 4×12, gibson les paul, fender 72 custom telecaster

i also use a compressor before it, to make it even more fuzzier and growl, and i play everything from biffy clyro, kasabian, muse, placebo, arctic monkeys right through to machine head, slipknot, etc

greeat pedal for a variety of sounds
