Sometime I get the idea that I can’t really hear the effect of my small clone properly. By that I mean that I don’t hear much difference between my sound when the pedal is on and off. Especially when the depth is down.
I also notice that the led isn’t as bright as on my NYC Reissue Big Muff. Maybe that’s got something to do with the problem.
So does anyone know a solution to my problem or is this just normal?
October 23, 2009 at 4:50 pm #102595The EH ManModeratorAre you running them on batteries or a power supply?
October 23, 2009 at 4:54 pm #102597Dave1223ParticipantOh I forgot to say, A onespot powersupply
October 23, 2009 at 5:10 pm #102600The EH ManModeratorI would try another power supply to make sure there wasn’t a problem in the 1Spot. You said the LED wasn’t as bright so maybe the power supply’s having trouble supplying the proper current.

October 23, 2009 at 5:16 pm #102602The EH ManModeratorIt’s possible there’s a bad solder joint on the circuit board somewhere that’s keeping the chorused signal from reaching the output. I’d turn the rate and color up so it’s noticeable then tap around on the board w/ a stick or Sharpie (w/ the cap on) and see if it cuts out.

October 23, 2009 at 5:32 pm #102605The EH ManModeratorIf the Depth is down then it may be hard to tell if it’s working. However, it may be not working which is why you should try it w/ the depth and rate up to make sure it’s not just cutting out on you.
October 23, 2009 at 5:37 pm #102606Dave1223ParticipantNo I definately do hear a constant effect but at some setting it’s really hard to hear.

October 23, 2009 at 8:24 pm #102614Ned FlandersModeratorThere’s definitely something wrong with it as the small clone is such a pedal that even with the depth down the chorus is so noticeable you cant mistake it and this is definitely not normal for this pedal. I would do what EH man said or contact EHX.
