I would appreciate if somebody can help me with a schematic with a Holier Grail pedal. I think I fried something where marked R1 on the board when mistakenly plugging in a wrong adapter.

Schematics for current products are usually not made available.

Any suggestions as to where to take this for repair?

    R1 is a 4.7 ohm, 1/2W resistor.

You can contact EH at info@ehx.com for repair info. You’ve already contacted me at RonSound about repairing it.

Oh wow, thank you for the additional support! I did write you an E Mail. I guess I know with absolute certainty as to where to send my pedal for repair. BTW, I love your’81 Hairpie mod with mid switch on my Big Muff.

No problem. Glad your happy w/ the ’81 mod. That’s a request I seldom get. Most people go for the Classic. The mid-switch adds a huge difference in the sound.

I actually like the nuances of the distortion better with the ’81 mod. Albeit, I am looking forward in trying your other mods in the future. Out of curiosity, I fried the resistor on the pedal using a 9 volt adapter. I am getting the correct 18 volt adapter any day. If I plugged the correct adapter in, will the unit function despite the fried resistor? Sorry for the stupid question.

The resistor will likely need to be replaced as it’s probably burned up and reading infinite resistance.

I hate to necro this thread but 3 years ago I was able to fix my Holier Grail by replacing the R1 resistor with a 4.7k 1/2watt based on knowledge shared in this thread. The pedal has failed again this time with the failed component at c3. Does anyone know what i’ll need to solder in at c3 to get my baby up and running again? It would be most appreciated.
