hi guys i’ve recently really got to know my pedal’s (Big muff, double muff and russian bassballs) but i’m kinda stuck on what else would come in handy for rock and metal. can you guys give me some pedals (eh and non eh) that might help fill the void. Thanks

If I remember rightly you like the old style stuff……so I’d look out for these for rock/metal etc.

….best thing to shape the tone of your distortions.

    and maybe an LPB-2…

….for either boosting volume in places or driving the double muff in single mode.

and maybe throw in a classic small clone for some modulation.

….great for adding some colour and movement to solos here and there….sounds neat on cleaner parts too.

as for other brands, maybe an MXR phase 100 or a proco rat (if you think you need more distortion!)

yea eq,chorus is delay a good way to go. Also when i turn my big muff on i get quite a bit of hum. Normal????

    There was an LPB2!!!

….it really depends… is it the pedal itself humming or is it just amplifying the hum your guitar is making??? if it’s the latter then it’s probably bad shielding/grounding on the guitar (or just noisey single coils) my BM is very quiet with humbuckers, it’s a little buzzy with single coils but nothing too bad especially if you stand in the right spot!!

oh, the LPB-2? yeah…… it’s actually more like the the current LPB-1 as the original LPB-1 looked like this.

You can also get the Graphic Fuzz and just switch off the Fuzz… For a nice EHX GEQ.

For metal – Octave pedal, Muffs, EQ, Volume Pedal.

yeah i think the 2UBE EQ is sweet, i actualy use it mostly for a modern replacement for a EH wah pedal (since there is no current production of one, there are many vintage models) by using the expression pedal with it!
