    hi. i’m planning to buy this stuff sooner. but i wonder if i can use this voice box without connect it to any instrument? could u please clarify this for me? really appreciate it~

    You can use the Unison/Whistle mode without an instrument plugged in. Most of them require harmonies from an instrument to do the work however.

    i understand this is ehx’s website, but any suggestion for other brand of voice box?which i can use without any instrument as a medium. help me please

    I’m not aware of anything…. the problem is to create proper harmonies the harmoniser unit needs to ‘hear’ a note/chord or whatever otherwise the harmonies wouldn’t be in tune. You could probably find something that adds a doubling effect or an octave (or part of an octave) effect but these would be fixed.

    What vocal effects are you wanting to achieve?

    also if you are a vocalist but play with a guitarist, you could get him to send his guitar signal though the voice box, while you sing through it….. it doesn’t have to be you playing the intrument.

    i dunno which effect i wanna use. but all the vocal effect in ehx voice box sounds interesting. well, i guess i’ll stick to this product. thanks for the help everyone! very helpful! :)

    Is it possible to run pre-recorded material through the voice box and have it track well? can it come straight out of my recording device? (balanced/unbalanced ?) Oh and “hey everybody” this is my 1st post! :)
