OK. I’m not off to a good start for support for EHX products here (not exactly filling me with confidence to buy more).
After No-one answered my original question 😥 about the ‘EHX Holier Grail Power Supply’ I spent days researching it and eventually confirmed that it was 18v 500MA (as per the product details on this website) and had a Positive tip.
Seeing as though I couldn’t get an EHX power supply online anywhere for it, and my local Music Stores couldn’t source one in spare parts, I thought that I’d Buy a Dunlop DC-Brick (a great product by the way) to power it. Well it’s certainly capable of delivering the correct power, provided that you have the correct polarity. As it supplies power via a ‘negative tip’ I had to try and get a reverse polarity converter cable. I eventually got a ‘1 Spot’ cable that did reverse polarity.
However, my trouble hasn’t ended yet as the centre pin of the power input is Larger that the standard 3.5 inch on most pedals.
Do EHX have such adapters?
I understand the need to ensure that the correct power configuration is supplied to your products but surley it shouldn’t be this much trouble to get a replacement part just because I was lucky enough to be born in Australia…Geez.
With the EH customer support if you don’t hear back within a few days it is usually a good idea to email them again. From what I understand, they get so many emails, they don’t always see everyone.
I think you want one of these:
PPL6-R

I think that’s the connector that the 18v pedals use. I know it’s what the center positive 9v and 24v pedals use.
Cool, will check it out, thanks for getting back to me Julian.
