Hey, I found this Little Big Muff on Craigslist and I’m in the process of buying it for only $20. Here is a picture of it. What can you tell me about it. ANY and ALL information will be useful. Thanks you guys! I tried to make the picture bigger, but I couldn’t. Sorry.

I don’t have any real information about it, but it usually looks like this:

So a bigger picture of your pedal would be great, then I can add it to my page:

I wonder why mine looks so different. Does anybody else have any information?

A lot of the old pedals exist in different colors, I don’t know if they were tests, accidents, special requests,… but except for the paint it’s the same pedal.

Mine has EH3034 pcb. I think these were made in the early ’80s.

    Thanks!

Yes, EH-man’s list says “circa 1981” for that pcb number:

(there’s even a “normal” big muff with this PCB)

The color is still special, I don’t think all models with that PCB have this color, then I would probably have seen it before :)

as far as I know it’s Big Muff, with the gain fixed (on full sustaian) and a 2 way tone switch.

the light bouncing off that vintage knob is even sexier than the pedal itself…

$20 = great deal – hope you can get it :) (and post proper pictures of it haha)

The earlier ones are 1322 Op Amp big muffs, the later the 3034 transistor muff.
    Thats what I’ve observed anyways.

Not surprised at that price. I have one of the IC versions and it’s great. It is a full size BMP board with the tone fixed — there’s a resistor soldered across the tone pot pads. Mine’s the 1322 board.
Discofreq, if you want pics of mine I’ll get em to you.

I don’t have any good gut shots yet, so if you can make some of those that would be great :)

    Thanks!

    Thanks, I saw the mail!

The images can’t be shown here because of the spaces in the URL. I tried to replace them by %-20 (without “-“), but that doesn’t work either as they’re replaced by spaces again.
