If it wasn’t for bad luck, I’d have none at all. First my 16 second delay is flaked out now this… Got my HOG in the mail today, and it is awesome. But the included exp pedal doesn’t work. It the M-audio one and is apparently dead. I turned the little dial on the side and that will activate the sweep but the actual expression does nothing. I also flipped the switch on the bottom and still nothing. Fortunatly I had an EV-5 lying around, so I hooked it up and it does work, although I don’t get the full sweep. On the octave bend it only goes to a 5th. The step bend only does a half step. I messed with the dial on the side of it as well but had no luck. The EXP button on the HOG will activate the full sweep, so I know what it’s supposed to sound like. What should I do? HAs anyone had similar experiences? I’m going to try some other expression pedals tomorrow or saturday but I’d really like to have what I bought working to it’s full potential. Thanks for any help.

Just take/send it back to where you got it?

Seriously, we get these questions all the time and first port of call should always be the place you bought it, if something is not working correctly then you have the right to a replacement/full refund.

If you bought it used then contact the person who sold it to you explaining the situation…. if they are a genuine seller and not scammer scum, then they would probably be willing to refund you the amount for a new exp. pedal.

How/where did you get the Hog?

It came off ebay. I’ll email the guy, but if I can find one local that works I’ll probably just do that. I’ve got a pretty good relationship with the local shop here and they let me take just about anything I need.

There is a little plastic hook that connects to the mechanism that turns the potentiometer. Sometimes it slips off. Take a peak inside and see if that is the problem.

That was it. The hook was off. I had to do a little fine tuning but now it’s working just like it should. This is the coolest pedal I’ve ever seen, owned, touched etc. Now if I can get my 16 second delay working I may never leave my room again. Thanks for the help.
