Hi here!! I have a problem with my metal muff; I have lost my power supply but i’ve got another one.. It”s a 9v power supply with a 9v ~ 1.3A output. It’s work, but i’m afraid what this damage my pedal (sorry for my english i’m french ) i want to know if this is safe or this will damage my pedal :l
Hi,
The Power Supply you’re using seems to be OK. As long as it’s “Center Negative” (same as used by Boss). The Metal Muff needs a minimum of 100mA (more will not hurt it).
From EHX:
The optional 9V power supply from Electro-Harmonix is US96DC-200BI (same as used by Boss ™ & Ibanez(tm)). 9.6 volts/DC 200ma. The barrel connector on the front of the METAL MUFF is for the 9-volt battery eliminator capable of delivering 100 mA of current. The inner ring of the 9-volt battery eliminator must be negative, the outer ring positive. The unit’s battery may be left in or taken out when the eliminator is in use.
Ok!! thank you a lot!! But the fact that my power supply is less powerfull than the electro harmonix don’t affect the sound?
Your power supply is “1.3A” A=Amps – the EHX Power supply is “200mA” mA=Milliamps.
Ok, so my power supply have more power than the ehx one if I understand you well >< But it affect the sound or not?? ><
It will not affect the sound
