Hello,
My Holy Grail has very little use on it, but I’ve had it for a while. But nonetheless, it has minimal use on it, but when i turn it on (or off?) my guitar goes really quiet. The LED light does not switch on either.
Can I fix this?
Are you using a power supply or a battery?
Chances are the resistor in the power supply has burned up. Easy to replace, though.
I’m using a power supply. It’s weird though, because I can just BARELY hear noise when things go “quiet.” And then, when I push the effect button again, everything comes out crisp and clean, as though it were not running through the HG at all.
The common problem that occurs is the 4.7 ohm resistor in the power supply burning up. Also, the output op-amp goes bad. Sounds like yours may just be the resistor. That would also keep the LED from lighting.
