    Hey All,

    I’ve got a DMM with the AC cord. What’s the easiest way to tell if it’s an original or one of the late 90’s re-issues?

    The earliest models used a two-prong plug.

    There are, however, a few different versions of the two-prong plug models as well.

    There’s the blue-face 4-knob that uses the Reticon ICs, and has no modulation.

    There’s a blue-face 5-knob with point-to-point soldering.

    And there’s the black-face 5 knob which we all know and love.

    Look at the bottom plate.

    sharp corners = vintage
    round corners = reissue

    The vintage models came stock w/ a 2-wire AC cord except in Canada which had a 24vdc adapter. The early reissues had a built-in 3-wire Ac cord.

    3 prong cord and round corners. Looks like I’ve got a re-issue. Thanks guys
