The pots are a bit scratchy, but once they are set it sounds good. I got this just to see if it was better than the reissue, and sorry guys – it blows it out of the water.

For the hardcore EHX geeks out there, is this the original version? I’m about 95% certain it is. There’s another version with the Flange switch and two color graphics – I assume that means it’s a later version.

I’m a huge Joy Division/Peter Hook fan, and I just couldn’t pass it up. It sounds dead on exactly like the chorus used on “Closer”. Less treble and smoother than the reissue. If my bass player likes it, hopefully it’ll kick his reissue off his board.

One other thing… IT’S HEAVY. A lot more heft to it than my DMM.

Yes, that’s an original. SAD1024 delay IC is what makes it so great.

I see them come up on eBay periodically using this search: reticon (bbd, analog, sad1024, “sad 1024”)

They typically run about $30 +/- , but once in awhile some joker will ask an outrageous price, like $100. You could almost buy a vintage Electric Mistress or Deluxe Memory Man for that price.
