can a UK powered EH pedal be converted to US power without just using an adapter?
like, can the internal power supply and power cord be replaced?
i have an original polyphase i got for $25, but its got a 3prong UK plug
and im looking at something i realllly want, but its a german 2prong power plug.

I suspect they can, but it might be a lot of expensive work…I’m not sure to be honest…I have a vintage USA graphic EQ (i’m in the UK) and I just use a cheap power/plug converter, it cost me £6 on ebay.

It would be much tidier to have the insides changed though, I have to agree.

I’d ask Ron Neely (EHMan), Analogman, or Howard Davis. I’m sure one of them could do it.

Too bad it’s prolly more complicated than us sending each other the internal power supply and a soldering iron. …or is it

If I you could find someone with the soldering/electronics confidence/knowledge to do that it maybe be possible (but that sure isn’t me unfortunatly!!!) ….. providing the actual output voltage into the pedal was the same I guess….which it may not be, I have no idea what voltage the EQ operates on.

if I end up with several US pedals I’ll probably end up buying a power strip like this

and plugging that into a converter, at least I’ll only need the 1 converter then.
