It’s really awesome. You can get full on Big Muff fuzz tones or you can get cool OD tones, and as opposed to some Big Muffs, the whole tone knob is usable, especially in dry mode.
This may be controversial.
Now if they had a bass big muff with tone bypass and wicker, that would be the best Big Muff pedal ever.
The Bass Big Muff is just an awesome answer for that fuzz question. You can use this box on Bass, Guitar and Keyboards. Don’t the the word “Bass” fool you…. on guitar, this thing is just a panacea for tone dullness.
Totally. I love it on guitar. It’s awesome. The other nice thing is how it can stack with overdrives because of the dry blend, allowing some of the first pedal’s tone to show through. I want to try a germanium treble boost into it sometime.
Yeah! I use it mainly for guitar, and you can get some real chunky stuff from it. I like to put an OD or as boost before it, and on “Norm,” you get some extra cut to the notes. If you use a clear overdrive (I use a Barber LTD) and put the BBM on “dry,” you can get some crazy high-gain, fat, fuzzy tones, but with a bunch of clarity, still! Love it!
I wants to get it badly… But Singapore has not started to import in. Darn it.
Excellent pedal. I use it primarily on bass, but last night tried it with a guitar and it is brilliant.
I use it for my Baritone with Bass Boost and Sustain at max straight into my Bass Amp
Really get the rawling tone I was looking for.
Nice and small, fit easily in the pedal board.
Look superb in pair with The Big Muff Tone Wicker…
I know its based on a similar circuit to the Russian Big muff, but how does it stack up to one on guitar does anyone know?
Texas Instruments Speak & Spell + Bass Muff Pi
I had to find a way to use both of my Big Muff with one amp for a gig.
So I tried the BMPiTW in front of the BBMPi in dry mode.
It’s nice, you can start with the BBMPi for a darker and lower fuzz mix with clean and then swap the clean signal with the BMPiTW full blast tone…not bad.
i agree it is awesome for getting a vintage vibe
