Has anyone every heard of, or tried to do a mod that would allow you to adjust the rate of the modulation in an old Stereo Memory Man or Deluxe Memory Man?

Is it possible to add a pot somewhere in the circuit to continuously adjust the oscillation?

If so, that would be another great incentive to buy a beat-up old Stereo Memory Man.
