Hi!
My SMMH makes two kinds of noises:
-one consistent hum, which I suspect is caused by my cheap power supply (daisy chaining).
-one tone/note which changes in pitch when I change the “delay”-knob setting, getting lower in pitch as the delay time increases. This is present even in “bypass” mode.
It’s not loud, but still very annoying.
Is this a warranty issue?
It’s less than one year old.-boemann

the hum will (probably) be down to your power supply/daisy chaining… mine does the same (but only with certain other pedals).
the second noise, i don’t know…
does it still happen if you power the Haz from its own power supply? (ie. not daisy chained.)
if it does, then it’d be best to make use of the warranty.February 15, 2009 at 12:46 pm #93324electro-melxModeratorQuote:the hum will (probably) be down to your power supply/daisy chaining… mine does the same (but only with certain other pedals).the second noise, i don’t know…

Problem solved.
Thanks, everybody!February 23, 2009 at 10:56 pm #93879electro-melxModeratorQuote:Hmmm..I have mine on a Onespot with several other pedals. I fortunately don’t have this noise problem, but will I? I know it says to use the included power supply but I figure that’s for liability’s sake, I mean its just a 9V Boss adapter. I’ll clarify that I have 3 total pedals on the specific daisy chain that the Haz is on, and they’re both Boss pedals. Did you have many more pedals on your chain?if you don’t get the whine don’t worry about it…and consider yourself lucky!!
…if you add more pedals it might happen, for me it totally depends on what else I have plugged in at the time, sometimes it’s fine, other times it’s not and I have to use the seperate psu, but it doesn’t seem to depend on the amount of pedals just certain ones.
I’ve even heard people that get it and say “it’s so quiet I don’t worry about it!”

this is true. i’ve daisy chained mine with about 12 other pedals at one time and not had any noise issues.
there are some pedals that it doesn’t like to share power with though.
but, out of the 40 or so pedals i have, it only objects to sharing power with 4 of them.March 8, 2009 at 9:46 am #94280boemannParticipantI only had one other pedal in my chain, a Ibanez DFL, old and kind of beat up.
