Home › Forums › Help/Technical Questions › 70s ELECTRIC MISTRESS GETTING A BIT NOISY
Hi! I’ve had a 70s Electric Mistress that i bought a few months ago off ebay which sounds great,
BUT…
it seems to have become progressively prone to distorting the input signal. I had to tinker with the preset pots inside because the way the guy had it before the colour knob wasn’t doing anything at all. The base of the pedal was also missing when i got it so could the problem be that it’s getting dusty and needs a clean or do you reckon it’s to do with the preset pot settings?
Thanks

Well with mine that happened but all it was was the batteries were dying so that might be it and also don’t turn the color all the way up with a distortion because this pedal is very trebley….. or however you spell it.
Thanks for the advice, i know what you mean. I forgot to mention that the person who owned it before me hardwired a power transformer into the pedal so that it doesn’t take batteries (mine is also the old large electric mistress). I will give the unit a thorough clean tomorrow and see if that helps as it’s a bit of a filthy wench!
