Anyone here have experience w/ the Bass Microsynth using it w/ guitar instead of bass? Any drawbacks vs. the regular Microsynth? Thanks
Works fine from my understanding.
Isn’t the main difference between the bass and guitar versions just that the bass version has EQ bands optimized to bass?
well the octave effects I believe are optimized for Bass. So it will respond better on lower notes, but not as well on higher notes I believe.
Thanks for the replies guys, I just scored one so I guess I’ll find out when I get it.
IMO the MS responds better to lower notes anyways, I had the guitar version and I always preferred the sub octave to the upper octave.
Warning! Warning! This is what happens when you use a Bass Microsynth with a guitar:

fwiw, if you check out the user-generated videos for the Bass Microsynth, you’ll see a few in there (mostly by this same YouTuber, La Griff) of the Bass Microsynth used with guitar…

Haha- outstanding!!
i believe Jack Conte uses a bass micro synth on his acoustic guitar
Well I got it, and it seems to work fine on guitar except for optimal performance the preamp (of the pedal) in bypass needs to be very overdriven. If I tweak the trimmer on the back to get a more clean signal, the effect is weakened when the unit is activated. It’s not on my board so its not much of a problem. Still wondering if the regular guitar version might work better for me, although I have been able to coax some very useable/cool sounds out of it…
you can always put it in a bypass loop
Great idea.
Hey everyone,
any experience with 7 string or some drop tunes like drop D or even C? Would the bass version be better suited for the lower tuned guitars, 7 string etc or is the guitar version still fine?
Thanks for any clarity and experience. I want to make the right choice.
