    I’ve seen some pics of these and heard they were available in Europe… ??? That can’t be right.

    I haven’t seen them in the UK yet either, it seems it’s just mainland Europe that has them at the moment….I could order one from Germany but then I’d have to buy a UK PSU too so it would work out too expensive (especially with the British Pound so low at the moment)

    I think they were the last run due to the small amount of chips left.

    I assume the DMM hasn’t got much long to live :worried:

    noooooo…that’s not true (at least I don’t think so)

    why would they re-design the board, make a new case graphic etc, if it was going to be the last ones? I mean why would you bother?

    Why would it only be availble in part of Europe? That seems kind of strange. Hopefully one of the staff members can shed some light on this. I certainly hope they dont discontinue it. I haven’t bought a big one because I’m holding out for the smaller boxes.

    I think you might have a while to wait, it seems to me that there are no immediate plans to release it anywhere else…there has been no official announcment or pics from EHX.

    ..the XO unit is RoHS compliant I suspect that’s why it has gone to europe first. I doubt that it was planned to release these at all yet, but the European distributor probably needed units and maybe these were the only RoHS units available to ship.

    obviously this is just me speculating and NOT any kind of official word from EHX.

    when pics of these first started popping up on forums people didn’t believe they existed!! :D

    I believe I brought this issue up in a thread earlier and Scott chimed in to note that there are none planned for sale in North America. I could be wrong, but that’s what I remember.

    Quoting myself from another forum: “as best as I understand it, the XO DMM is only available in some non-US markets — and that’s because it was tweaked for European Union RoHS-compliance — so there isn’t an XO DMM in production for the US market. I have no information regarding when/whether a US XO DMM will become available. I totally wish I could be more specific, but that’s really the best I can do!”

    what’s the deal with this ‘the chips are running out’ stuff……is there any truth to that? sure they aren’t going to last forever but last I heard EHX and plenty for a number of years yet.

    I remember someone posted an email they got, a reply from EHX, about the IC’s and they said they have plenty left to make the DMM for a number of years yet. I like the original box version and been wanting one for quite some time.
