Yeah, sorry about the Big Muff link, anybody know how to fix it? I’ve tried copying and pasting or typing it in.
December 3, 2008 at 3:20 pm #88195MilanMemberNice links, thanks. I’ll especially be taking a closer look at the Small Stone ones.
By the way, for posting a link with a space in it, it works if you wrap URL-tags around the link, like so:
http://www.student.ru.nl/r.kerkhof/Taas/Mods/Big Muff.htmPress the quote button next to my post if you want to see what it looks like.
Alternatively you can do the same by pressing the button in the row of buttons over the textfield where you write posts.

i did this a long time ago on my Small Clone and it’s really cool.
i used a toggle switch to engage the tremolo mode and added a 5k pot for a (tremolo) depth control.
i also did the vibrato mod (which is discussed in the above link); it is definately the 22k resistor which needs to be disconnected to get the vibrato (not the 33k resistor which the above article initially states).

Small Stone ‘Vibrato’ mod: http://www.kyletompkins.com/wp/?p=355
Small Stone Blend control: http://experimentalistsanonymous.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=1095
i’ve been meaning to try this for a while but haven’t really felt the need yet.December 4, 2008 at 4:08 pm #88417boytbpcParticipantupdated the list. Enjoy
December 4, 2008 at 4:16 pm #88418julianModeratorHow to add a Carrier Signal in to a frequency analyzer (he calls it a CV in, which is misleading, because CV ins usually refer to expression pedal ins, which this is not)
http://experimentalistsanonymous.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=376December 4, 2008 at 7:28 pm #88447julianModeratorthis isn’t sorted out really well but here are two guys who modded their SMMH so you don’t have to hold down record
vulcaniza did an external box with some extra stuff:
http://acapella.harmony-central.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1744297&page=38cloudscapes/tape put a flip switch on the side that he could flick with his toe
http://acapella.harmony-central.com/forums/showthread.php?p=25774555&highlight=switch+toggle#post25774555and here’s another thread about it:

I know most people increase the resistors as part of the Creamy Dreamy mod. Does anybody know what value to replace them with? Thanks,
December 11, 2008 at 8:37 pm #88982BernardduurParticipantHey all!
Great to see that my Big Muff mods page is used for some good sounds!
Rogier
In the creamy dreamer those resistors were enlarged to 15k
On freestompboxes the story of the Creamy Dreamer was told; Billy never owned one; he played one as the “inventer” asked him to. He liked it but not loved it. He hate the fact his name is connected to this pedal!
December 11, 2008 at 10:07 pm #88987Ned FlandersModeratorSo I actually done the tone bypass mod I put together the other day, I had only tried it on a fuzz face big muff hybrid I built and it had good results, but on the big muff its even better, if you do this mod there’s no way you will complain about a lack of volume anymore, it now passes unity at about 10-11 o/clock. While in tone bypass mode its very reminiscent of the IC big muff I have, still unmistakeably a big muff just with a flatter EQ as opposed to a scooped one. Over all its an excellent mod, I recommend doing it. Anyone one with a soldering iron can do it, takes about ten minutes and is a very basic mod for beginners, I highly recommend it. :rawk:
