The SC is probably the best chorus out there, well I think it is anyways.

I bought mine because I had serious GAS and the shop didn’t have any delays (which is what I originally wanted). As I only had one dirt pedal and the Small Clone, it took all modulation duties, and I must say it did it bravely. It’s amazing what you can do with just one knob and a depth switch. Warbly, lush, deep… I used it in like 80% of my band’s songs, every time I wanted to add some depth or craziness to it. I freaking love this pedal. Of course nowadays it’s got 5 knobs and whatnot, but I almost always use it just as I used it before.

Is this XO Polychorus that you speak of an urban myth or is it in the works ? Please oh please let it be so !

The polychorsu is no where near as lush and deep a chorus as the small clone, if you buy one for its chorus you will be disapointed but if you buy one for its chorus/flange/weird ass noises you’ll be pleased. IMO, you MUST own both!

I got a Small Clone for $40 at a used music shop that replaced a $300 piece of “boutique” junk. It’s from the mid to late 90’s I believe, but it was plenty used. I had to use a white marker to draw a line back on the knob, it was totally worn away. It does a warbly, vibrato sound and a simple chorus sound better than the expensive pedal. I play bass and I like that it seems to add a little high-end chime to the sound when the knob is at about ten o’clock and the depth knob is up. When I run the SC into a Boss RE-20 Space Echo I can still hear the chime cutting through the echo/reverb; very cool!

Small clone is my chorus of choice – it’s what turned me onto EHX in the first place. I remember going into the shop i get all my gear from looking for a chorus pedal for a specific sound which was a lush, shimmering, heavenly chiming sort of sound, and if it wasn’t for the fact i’d spotted the small clone hidden away behind a stack of line 6 pedals (because i asked to try out the line 6 chorus) that they’d forgotten they had, i’d never have found that sound

I got the Small Clone a few months ago. I was origonally going to get a boss chorus pedal but when i played the small clone, it just sounded so much better.
