The year is 1981: Lady Diana Spencer marries Charles, Prince of Wales. MTV is launched and the Rolling Stones release their 18th studio album, Tattoo You, featuring the anthem, “Start Me Up.”
In New York City, Electro-Harmonix introduces the DIGITAL DELAY in a pedal package. With two seconds of delay and a price point well below comparable rack units, the DIGITAL DELAY was ground-breaking. It also inspired EH’s Mike Matthews to begin development on the 16 SECOND DIGITAL DELAY which would come to be regarded as legendary.
