Hi,
I recently got a used Stereo Clone Theory and it has a high pitched chirping/squealing noise on CHR 2 and VIBR modes that becomes very noticeable if the depth is above ~9 o’clock and the rate is below ~1 o’clock. I had read about the hiss, which is pretty loud but I can live with, but this noise is pretty annoying and makes those modes basically unusable for me.
Sample with nothing plugged into the input, output going directly to my computer, and volume boosted a bit (it seems to be louder if there’s a louder input): Clone Theory noise sample
Is this expected? And is there any way to get rid of it other than putting an EQ after it?
Thanks
Sounds like a ground loop.
