I have a Stereo Polyphase and wanted to try using a CV to control it (as per the Instructions) but it didn’t seem to work when set to EXP. I accidentally discovered that when the CV (TS) jack was partially inserted (protruding by about 1/4″) and the Polyphase was set to either ENV or LFO (I can’t remember which but it was contrary to the instructions, i.e. EXP), it did seem to have an effect but the CV source complained of an overload so I disconnected it.

It all seems very odd but the fact that it only does anything (even in the wrong mode) with the jack 1/4″ out suggests that the CV is ‘expected’ on the ring of a TRS jack.

Can anybody offer any advice, please?

If using CV to control the Stereo Polyphase, the source of the CV signal cannot share a ground with the audio signal connected to the Stereo Polyphase. In most practical applications, this means the CV source only connects to the Stereo Polyphase, and no other devices, except maybe MIDI, and has an independent, isolated power supply.

There is nothing else connected to the CV controller. I’ve tried it with a Behringer Bi-Phase and it works perfectly so I’ll just use that.
