Tagged: 9-series, bass guitar, cello, new product suggestion, synth bass, upright bass
I’m a bass player. I was really excited when I first heard about the Bass9, but sadly discovered it is designed so that guitarists can sound like bass players. I’m ever hopeful that a future pedal will all my 5 and 6 string bass guitars to sound like cello, bowed and plucked upright bass, synth bass, 32′ stop pipe organ, etc. Right now the pitch tracking on the 9 series gets me down to a few frets up on my D string, but doesn’t do anything useful on my lower strings, A, E and B. I’m missing the bottom octave and a half of my range if I try to use a 9 series pedal.
Is there anything in the works that would give me the same sort of magical instrument shift as my guitarist friends currently enjoy with your Mel9, B9, Synth9, Bass9, etc?
Thanks,
John.
