Greetings Kind Regards I would much prefer if the black base of the 6CA7 were of a light color for the simple and even obvious reason i.e. discerning the location of the alignment key is difficult as it is black and the shadow it casts is black and the base upon which its shadow is cast is black Perhaps an even better improvement would be if only the alignment key was of a light color so it would stand out against the black background of the base Also I greatly dislike having to wiggle the tube back and forth for both insertion and remove and to utilize considerable force to do so I do not understand why after one-hundred years no-one invented a tube socket which permits easy insertion and removal via an adjustable fastener of some sort which can be loosened and tightened Also easy discernment of the alignment key makes it easier to determine the pin numbers As it is now the black numbers on the black base is absurd – Cheerio
