Hi. I’ve just received and have been experimenting with the Germanium OD. It’s only my second EHX pedal. My other one is the Deluxe Memory Man XO, which is perfect and has zero issues. But this pedal is pretty much unusable. There is a strong background whooshing noise when engaged. I disconnected it from the 1-Spot and put in a fresh battery with no other connected pedals. It still makes that same noise, and when disengaged, I even get a bit of a fizzy buzz as well.

I’ve never had any such issues with prior pedals, and have an extremely quiet tube combo amp. Any insights as to what’s going on? As of now, this pedal is pretty much unusable.
