    Hi again

Did you have any joy with importing files onto your 45000?

Ive been doing what you suggested and it’s worked really well but I’ve also had a breakthrough with importing them from my DAW. I contacted EHX and got some great help from John.

I sent him my files and we realised that my PC was duplicating the extension file .WAV. So basically when he got my files they looked like this TRACK1.WAV.wav but I wasn’t seeing that my end.

If you or anyone else are still having problems it’s probably this and you just need to go into your control panel (Windows PC) > Folder Options > View and then if “Hide extensions for known file types” is selected you need to de-select it.This worked for me straight away.

My 45000 just got a whole lot better!

    Cheers

    That helps a lot,thanks.

One other thing…Do you have full control over which tracks you are recording onto on the 45000? I mean it’s not restricted to the mixdown track and you can still overdub over what you’ve recorded?

    Thanks

It sounds like they’d consider a firmware update otherwise I doubt they’d be wanting to see the audio files.I’ll keep you posted on any feedback I get from them.

You’re solution sounds pretty good and I’m going to give it a go.I don’t know anything about stereo splitter box’s.Would a cheap, basic 2 way one do the job?

    Hi,

    Thanks for your response.

I emailed EHX regarding the problem and they’ve asked me to send them some sound files from Mixcraft so they can analyze them.It could be that the 45000 needs a firmware update for those particular .wav files.

How are you recording live into your 45000? Are you micing your speakers?

    Cheers

    Update

    Still no joy.

I think my problem might lie in my interpretation of this….

“you must have all four mono tracks PRESENT as well as the stereo mix file and tempo.txt”

What does that actually mean? Do I have to actually create 4 mono tracks on my DAW save those to my folder and then do a stereo mix also and add that to the folder too?

What if I only want to create one single track on my DAW like a simple beat.Where do the other 3 mono tracks come in from?

I think I understand the TempoTXT part because you just edit an existing one to match the same BPM as on the loop you created on your DAW and drop that in with the other files?

Would be very grateful for any help.

    Regards
