    Hey

    Sorry, I missed your PMs!

As I said, finding a D-Shaft like the original will be difficult, usually they only come up on NOS parts broker sites in small quantities, that or scouring ebay.

Before you replace it though, can you describe the problem a little further? Which knob causes it to cut out? Is it scratchy? Just ruling out some bad joints on the PCB or some other issue.

If it’s the fuzz or blend though, your best bet will be to wire in one of these http://smallbear-electronics.mybigcommerce.com/pot-alpha-100k-linear-and-audio-usa-big-muff/

And assuming it has this style of knob, buy one of these to replace the original http://smallbear-electronics.mybigcommerce.com/knob-push-on-usa-big-muff-lge/

Sure, go ahead and name them if it’s something people should be wary of.

I can take a guess as to who it was…

Well some people do call a power supply an adapter as it converts the walls 240V AC to the 9V DC the pedal wants so hopefully you get what you want, I wouldn’t have thought they’d have EU to UK converters laying about for this situation.

Sounds like a mistake, i’d let them know.

Hard to say with any certainty from the info provided, there could be a bad joint, the footswitch could be bad, the rotary switch could be bad or something in the circuit could be bad etc.

Do you have a multimeter and any experience debugging? If not you’ll either need to get one and learn or send it to a tech.

What power supply are you using? The C9 doesn’t like being daisy chained, try it on a separate supply and see if the issue resolves.

    It’s 9V DC, 200mA should cover it.

Hmm finding a D-Shaft mount like the original will be tricky, you’ll have to wire in a different style of pot with a replacement knob most likely.

Where are you located? I can suggest a decent ‘local’ supplier.

If the pot’s definitely the problem and intermittent aside from opening it up and attempting to fix it the best option will be just to replace it.

Sensitivity, Tone & Sub-Harmonic are all B10k and Sensitivity & Blend are B100k.

A Memory Man does not produce the same effect, it’s a modulated delay pedal, not a chorus/flanger pedal.

Remove the backs of them all and post a photo of them that way, can’t tell much from the outside, they might all just be reissues or some could be vintage export models.

But more to the point… where did you get six DMM’s from!?

The blend switch is a dry lift so you get wet only.

There’s plenty that could cause 2 modes not to work, don’t jump to the conclusion it’s the SAD1024 just because it’s the rarest part.

The V2 mistress uses both sections of the SAD1024 in parallel (not in multiplex mode though) that does mean that half of the chip can be dead and the pedal will still work so it’s not the best test bed but will tell you if a chip is totally dead. If you want to start swapping chips you need to take proper ESD precautions or you could do more damage than good.

You need to give some proper debugging info, starting with which modes are working and which aren’t and then posting voltages for the ICs.

Funny jumper, might be a factory mod if there was a mistake on the PCB or a fix when a trace lifted, it’s just connecting the power pin of the dual opamp to +15V, don’t worry about it (as long as Pin 8 of that Opamp is indeed getting +15V anyway).

The broken wire, don’t have any gut shots but from the schematic, one wire from the boost input connects directly to the standard input and the other goes to a 1k resistor feeding the inverting input of the input opamp.

I can’t post it as it’s intellectual property but I can help you with the pedal.

First, what are the symptoms and how did it die?

100mA regulators will be fine, although if you have any concerns you can use 7815 and 7915 which are both spec’d for 1A of current.
