Luke63MemberQuote:Yes the red lead is the positive voltage and black is ground.
I gave the effect to a specialist.
I hope to have my old clone theory this weekend and i hope it will be operative.
I will let you know.
Bye
Luke63MemberQuote:Okay, hopefully this diagram helps, this is for the EHX positive tip supply.I’ve added a 1N4002 diode on the drawing too, if you add this in if you make a mistake with the wiring or plug in a negative tip supply in the future by mistake the circuit will be protected.
You can remove the 3 original transformer wires as you aren’t using it anymore.
Your Red cable is positive?
Luke63MemberQuote:I meant you’ll have to wire the lugs on this the opposite way to the other adapter as the EHX adapter is center positive instead of negative. So where it says to board – you’d wire it to board +
Let me see if i understood right…
1. The ehx adapter is center positive. The pigtronix is center negative.
Right?2. In the inside pic of my pedal, the board… i mean… there are three wires o cables that you see attached to a stereo female jack connector.
The three colors are:
Brown, black and blue.
Now… how can i know which one is the positive one?
I presume that the blue one is neutral or ground.
Is it possibile to know it using a tester?
Sorry but… i am pretty confused…
Thanx again.
Luke63MemberQuote:That should be fine, you’d just have to wire the DC jack the opposite way as it’s a positive tip.You was very kind until now Scruffie!
But i have to ask you…
You mean “opposite” about the adaptor you put in link or about mine?
Did you see my pix?
Luke63MemberQuote:I mean a standard pedal power supply that supplies 18V from the wall voltage, one like this would work https://www.thomann.de/gb/pigtronix_18v_power_supply.htmAnd then you’d have to fit one of these to where the cable used to come from and solder it to the board in the right place.
http://www.taydaelectronics.com/hardware/dc-power/dc-power-jack-2-1mm-enclosed-frame-with-switch.htmlThanx again Scruffie!
What about this? — https://www.thomann.de/it/electro_harmonix_18dc_500_eu_power_supply.htm
Luke63MemberQuote:Quote:Quote:…an 18V DC pedal supply to power it…Why 18V?
There is an 78L15 regulator on board which regulates the voltage to 15V but it needs some extra voltage (about 1.7V if I recall correctly) to do its job and 18V is a fairly standard supply voltage that meets that criteria.
Let me understand better… you mean i need an adapter from 18v to 220v?
Right?
Luke63Membermotherboard… inside
Luke63Membermotherboard… back
Luke63MemberQuote:…an 18V DC pedal supply to power it…Why 18V?
Luke63MemberAs you can see… there is not an internal 110v transformer.
Luke63MemberThanks man… but I already have a 110v – 220v transformer.
There’s not internal transformer anymore.
