Yeah. Well the MP-201 also can do non standard voltage ranges too. I just need to save up 500 bucks sometime.

You could definitely add an LPF like that. All it should take is a pot and a cap. Though you wouldn’t have a Q control.

I just found this nugget in the manual:

CAUTION: This pedal was designed to give the user the maximum potential for user customizability and there are some setting combinations that are extreme. If the Q setting is maxed, at the peak high and low frequency this pedal can be INCREDIBLY loud.

I like black cables for patch cables, but for instrument cables I’d prefer colors. At a show, stuff gets mixed up, and a different band ends up with your cables.

Not EH, but you might prefer the Boomerang 3 looper. It looks pretty good to me. It doesn’t look as cool, but it looks super versatile.

Someone posted a rumor in the ideas forum here that EH has another looper in the works. They didn’t cite their source though, so it could be completely unfounded.

If the price is a deal breaker you can always get a used one.

Personally the thing that’s had the 2880 on my WANT list for the last few years is the interface. Looks like a mixer. I like that because I’m a visual person.

My guess would be that EH uses a separate company for power supplies, and the company they use is behind on the shipment, so the POG2 boxes are sitting in the EH factory without power supplies.

Stinks that it is taking so long from GC for you.

Sounds good. I was hoping to see how it sounds with the attack set to maximum, to see if it can get those sweet synth ADSR tones.

The two questions I have coming out of the video are:

-how slow can the attack get?
    -can it self oscillate?

Thank you so much for the response, which was very helpful and informative. I didn’t know the original POG was digital – is that documented somewhere? Well, anyway… I sure hope I can find one of the older Q-Tron models, because these XO just aren’t getting such great reviews. I’m sure I’ll try it myself anyway, as there’s nothing more honest than one’s own ears. I already own a Tube Zipper, which I love, I just feel like the Q-Tron must have a sharper, more angular sound to it. Maybe I’m wrong, who knows.

Original POG is digital. It’s pretty much impossible to do that effect analog. There was one analog polyphonic pitch shifter in the 70s made by ADA and from what I’ve been told, it sounded horrible, it just relied on too many parts whose tolerances caused a lot of problems to everything.

As for bad reviews, I think what you can read in forums is misleading. People tend to generalize or stereotype.
