CryabetesParticipant
you can fix this with a Boss LS-2 or similar pedal, no mods necessary.
put the LS-2 before the freeze. it’s on A<->B mode
the Freeze is out of the A send, and, after whatever effects you want on it, goes to the A and B returns via splitter cable like this:

While the LS-2 is on A, play and lock the freeze.
Switch the LS-2 to B and you can now have an unaffected dry signal and a droning effected signal.CryabetesParticipantoh i must’ve missed that. cheers.
CryabetesParticipantsooooo like the Stereo Memory Man w/ Hazarai?
CryabetesParticipantI used a chisel when I changed the p’ups in my strat to parallel to the strings. worked fine. just work slow and be careful.
CryabetesParticipantalso if you’re really busted up about not having it, your local hardware store can probably help you determine what size you need.
CryabetesParticipantrun a click track off of a drum machine, computer, pretty much anything with midi IN and have it on its own channel, syncronised to your loop.
CryabetesParticipanti believe your solution is called ‘Midi Out’. and yeah it kind of sucks that there is only 4/4.
CryabetesParticipantno i haven’t had a chance to try out any of his stuff (i’m in the States, so international pedal modding always seems like a bit of an excessive expense) but I really would like to. His blog/twitter/website are terrific.

did you get the FM4 modded by cubisteffects or did you just buy it already modded from ebay?Nice spot. Yes to both actually. I bought it pre-modded FROM cubisteffects! It’s very cool. I can’t say I use the feedback loop as much as I thought I would, but it’s good for a laugh.
was that about four or five months ago? I try to keep an eye out for his stuff and that’s the last one I remember.
if it was, you outbid me by about $2.25AUD. 😆

CryabetesParticipantcan you catch percussives for glitchy sounds?
July 22, 2010 at 1:28 pm in reply to: Can cable length affect the response of an expression pedal? (H.O.G. content) #110426CryabetesParticipantthe boss FV50L is a 50K pot right? the proper exp. pedal for these (and the ring thing and boss pedals pretty much everything except yamaha keyboards and moogerfoogers) is 10K. you can build a step-down box (using the parallel resistor formula here ) or just use the M-audio ones
it should be a 12K resistor across the tip and ring of the cable, i think.

and what I hadn’t realised is that the fast mode can be pretty much identical to how a sustain pedal works on a piano.
which really makes me want one more. -
