I am looking for a phaser to get that classic late 70s country tone (a la Waylon Jennings, Conway Twitty, etc).

Does the Small Stone (nano or regular) produce any noise when used through a reverb clean amp/ reverb mildly overdriven amp? I’ve listened to some sound samples and videos on Youtube and sometimes there seems to be noise and sometimes not. I don’t use a noise gate or compressor. If anyone can help me out I’d greatly appreciate it.
