Hi, I’ve had my 95000 a couple of years now and use it all the time. I like having it on the desk but occasionally move it to the floor to operate with my feet. Is there a way to hook up a foot switch to control the record and stop function of the pedal? This would allow me to leave the 95000 on the desk. If so, what are some affordable options that you know of? Thanks.

Yes all the parameters can be controlled with a midi foot switch. Many on line.
The CC or continuous controller numbers for all the parameters is located in the manual.

Thank you so much for the reply! I have no experience with midi, however I the Midi Mouse controller pedal can be found used for around $60 on ebay. Does anyone know if the Midi Mouse is the proper type of midi controller pedal? Is there a better option, or a cheaper option? I literally just need a pedal that can trigger record/stop so I can leave the 95000 on my desk.

    Hi,
I’ve used the midi mouse to control the 95000 in the past. It does work ok because the PC messages that you need for record and stop are right next to each other – 102 and 103. It is definitely a little bit of a brain exercise because if you need to press rec a second time in a row you’d have to use the middle button on the midi mouse twice. If you alternate between stop and rec, you simply use left and right button. This will make more sense once you read the midi mouse instructions.

All that said, it’s likely your cheapest and smallest option right now. But you will always need to be aware of what you are doing/which PC number you need.

Thanks Annette_B, I picked up a Midi Mouse pedal (used for $60 on ebay) and I have been pleased with how it functions as a controller for the 95000. One weird thing is that the PC messages on my pedal are exactly 1 number off from both what you describe and also from the CC Numbers that I looked up in the manual, as our administrator suggested. For example, you (and the manual) say that 102 is record, but for me it is 103. Every command is like this, so if I want to go to loop 23, I have to hit 24 etc. Any idea why this would be? I have both devices set to channel 1. I even tried the 95000 on omni, but it still did the same thing. Not a big deal if we can’t resolve this. I am happy using the Midi Mouse even if the commands are off by 1. It is still easy to use and understand. I love that I can leave the 95000 on my desk now :-) Thank you so much guys, this forum rocks!

Hi Keenwa1, I’m glad you’re enjoying the midi mouse, I love simplifying and extending options by using external midi controllers!

What you are experiencing is a common issue between different midi devices: it really comes down to each device/manufacturer choosing to start their commands (PC or CC) at 00 or 01. I have this happen to me in different scenarios and I have just gotten used to it :) It does confuse me every now and then but oh well haha.
